The Institute for Lifelong Learning & Workforce Innovation was founded in in 2003. Our students, staff and faculty actively participate in direct instruction and in project-based and experiential learning experiences. The Institute is distinctive in scale and breath by leveraging existing skills and talents of learners for a rewarding academic experience. Our students have transformative learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom that will last a lifetime. The Institute focuses our collective efforts on preparing learners to harness their inquisitiveness, innovation, and strong work ethic to apply knowledge and skills to college and careers. Moreover, we prepare learners for a knowledge-based economy whereby their skills are transferrable into a variety of contexts. We pride ourselves in the delivery of high quality and high impact teacher trainings throughout the United States.

This will occur through developing and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds to have a positive impact on the human experience. The Institute blends a workforce development, career exploration and planning curriculum to compliment general education anchored in applied learning beyond the classroom.
